Class Assembly
Year 2 pupils enjoyed stories and photographs from Mr Savile of his travels around Scotland. Mr Savile also showed the children some whale bones collected from one of the beaches he visited!
Music In School
It has been absolutely wonderful to hear choirs resume early morning rehearsals – what a joy to hear such enthusiastic singing to start our days!
Habitats
Year 2 pupils have enjoyed their science topic on habitats! They explored microhabitats in the Willow garden and used tally marks to count the number of minibeasts and magnifying glasses to observe their discoveries.
Egyptian Day
Year 3 travelled back in time to Ancient Egypt where they created hieroglyphic cartouche necklaces, enjoyed an Egyptian feast and went on a VR trip around the British Museum’s Egyptology department!
World Down Syndrome Day
Pupils celebrated World Down Syndrome Day by wearing odd socks to represent the extra chromosome 21 that people with Down Syndrome have, whilst raising money for two local charities.
Forest School
Year 5 pupils enjoyed their Forest School session this week. They were grateful for our outdoor classroom and sheltered from the rain whilst learning how to use knives’ safely and build fires.
