Happy Lunar New Year

Reception pupils enjoyed learning about, and celebrating, the Lunar New Year. The classroom was decorated with lanterns and colourful dragons and tigers, and we loved the Chinese banquet too.

Twitchers Unite

All Prep children were involved in the Big Schools’ Birdwatch this week. There were plenty of enthusiastic and eagle-eyed ‘twitchers’ to spot the surprising variety of species in the grounds.

Pharaohs Rule

Prep 3 pupils have had such fun learning about Ancient Egypt in History lessons and making portraits of themselves as Pharaohs in Art. They all look like very convincing rulers!

Into the Woods

Prep 5 ventured out for their first adventure in the Pinewoods this week. They learnt about how hard prey animals have to work to hide from their predators.

Tasting or Testing?

Prep 3 investigated the properties of different chocolate bars –  a fun introduction to their science project on rock formations. Some of the specimens may have shrunk in size during the experiment!

Jingle all the Way

The Middle Choir gave a spectacular Christmas concert at St Wilfrid’s Hall. Prep 3 and Prep 4 singers delighted the audience with festive songs and a wonderful Christmas pudding poem.
