Having a Whale of a Time

Reception enjoyed their topic ‘Looking After Our Planet’, learning about whales and creating some super whale artwork using the book, ‘The Snail and the Whale’ as the focus for their work.

It’s Showtime!

In an end-of-term showcase, Prep 5 pupils brilliantly performed Mrs Fearn’s ‘Creative Cats’, recited a poem, and sang and danced with wonderful enthusiasm and passion, delighting the audience with their talents. Bravo! 

All the Fun of the Festival

The HLC Summer Festival provided fun, games, and delicious treats, as Highfield pupils whizzed down the giant inflatable slide, took their chances on the lucky dip, and even got to sponge teachers in the face!

Prep 2 Go Wild!

Prep 2 visited Yorkshire Wildlife Park, where pupils handled camel fur, and lion, capybara, and polar bear skulls; and touched cockroaches, a corn snake, and African snails, enhancing their Science work on habitats and adaptations.
