Close to Nature

Upper 6 Biologists enjoyed a field trip to Malham Tarn to practise field study techniques and identify different plant and animal species. They carried out surveys using qualitative and quantitative methods.

A Profusion of Diffusion

Upper 3 pupils investigated the effect of diffusion using Skittles sweets. They made rainbow circles in petri dishes, added water and observed closely.

Psychology students discovered how MRI scanners work, using an electro magnet and compasses. They saw how powerful magnets in the scanner can detect activity in different areas of the brain.
