The Senior Swimming Team took part in the hotly contested Northern Relay Championships last week, and were delighted to scoop silver medals in both the Medley and Freestyle relays.

Upper 6 Chemists have been applying their knowledge of acylation reactions in preparing samples of aspirin. Students also researched the history of aspirin and implications for medical use.
Close to Nature
Upper 6 Biologists enjoyed a field trip to Malham Tarn to practise field study techniques and identify different plant and animal species. They carried out surveys using qualitative and quantitative methods.
A Profusion of Diffusion
Upper 3 pupils investigated the effect of diffusion using Skittles sweets. They made rainbow circles in petri dishes, added water and observed closely.
