Junior Orchestra Day

Last week we hosted our Junior Orchestra Day, welcoming 70 children from local schools for a wonderful day of learning new music and developing instrumental skills, culminating in an orchestral concert.

MasterChef Masterclass

Sixth Form Food Science & Nutrition students took part in a workshop with MasterChef finalist Olayemi Adelekan. Inspired by Yemi’s passion for food and ‘hero spicing’ they cooked up a storm.

House Music

College students showcased their musical talents in the Annual House Music Competition. We had everything from original solos, a harpist and a Taylor Swift group number to name a few!

Food to Burn

In Biology pupils took part in a fun Science experiment which involved burning food to work out the energy content of various snacks including crisps and biscuits! 

Lower 5 Learn Self-Defence

Lower 5 students actively participated in a Self-Defence class, led by by Mark Young from the Ripon Natural Health Centre. Pupils learnt methods to help protect themselves and stay safe.

Ice Cream with a Twist

Lower 6 Food Science and Nutrition pupils have been making ice cream using the ‘dry ice technique.’ A great lesson to illustrate new product development and it tasted delicious too!
