Middle School students travelled to British, Canadian, Commonwealth, and German Cemeteries to hear stories of numerous soldiers killed in the war, including three pupils who were able to pay their respects at family members’ memorials.

During Trips & Activities Week, Lower School pupils were challenged to direct, film, edit, and produce movies in the style of silent films, to showcase to a delighted audience at the ‘HLC Silent Movie Film Festival’.

Pupils travelled to Paris where they experienced a feast for the eyes, visiting the Musée d’Orsay and Musée du Louvre, as well as the Champs-Elysees, Arc de Triomphe, Montmartre, and Chateau de Versailles. 

Trips & Activities Week continued with a Lower School visit to Flamborough Head – a chalkland landscape on the Yorkshire coast – where pupils conducted practical fieldwork to further their understanding of coastal processes. 

Transition children held a colourful end-of-year celebration as they performed confidently in front of a very proud audience of parents and Pre-School staff.
