Foundation children cooled down in the summer heat as they enjoyed honing their kitchen skills, safely chopping up some healthy fruit and berries to make delicious and nutritious frozen smoothies, which were then devoured! 

Just Keep Swimming

Highfield was represented at the North East Division of the English School Swimming Finals, as several pupils competed against more than 30 schools from across the country, displaying fantastic swimming skills in an electric atmosphere. 

Fabulous Fascinators

Lower 4 Textiles pupils put their creative talents to work, designing and making fabulous fascinators for their final project of the year. And who better to show off the stunning creations, than the designers themselves!

The Number 10

Transition developed their counting and numbers skills, with a special focus on the number ’10’. Pupils drew around their hands to make a big collage, then practised writing numbers on their fingers up to 10.

Hitting the High Notes

Primary school pupils from the Harrogate district joined Highfield for Junior Choir Day, led by Mrs Gray and Mrs Morgan. The day full of music, singing and performance culminated in a joyful concert for parents. 

Shining the Spotlight

The editorial team behind ‘Writable’ Club‘s online magazine, Herstory, attended the Shine School Media Awards, as the Editor was shortlisted for the Tomorrow’s Talent award. There, students discovered more about journalism, cartoon-drawing and podcasting.
