The Year of The Dragon

Pre-School children learnt all about Lunar New Year and The Year of The Dragon. They worked together to create a brilliant Dragon head and paraded around the Pre-School rooms. 

Young Voices

Prep 5 and 6 pupils attended the Young Voices Concert at Manchester Arena, singing alongside thousands of other children from schools across the UK. It was a fantastic night to remember.

House Music

College students showcased their musical talents in the Annual House Music Competition. We had everything from original solos, a harpist and a Taylor Swift group number to name a few!

Porridge for Breakfast

Transition channelled their inner Goldilocks as they taste-tested different flavoured porridges. They used a variety of mathematical vocabulary to compare the size of the bowls/spoons before sampling each porridge.

Wear Red Day

Highfield celebrated ‘Wear Red Day’ to raise funds and awareness for the ‘Children’s Heart Surgery Fund‘. The charity has supported the families of two Highfield children, making it extra special.

Food to Burn

In Biology pupils took part in a fun Science experiment which involved burning food to work out the energy content of various snacks including crisps and biscuits!
