Highfield Pupils Prepare for Trip to Uganda
Pupils from Highfield Prep School are preparing for a life changing trip to Uganda today.
Highfield Prep School has been supporting a school in the town of Bombo in Uganda for the last two years. This week, a group of Year 6 pupils, parents and teachers from Highfield will travel to Bombo to visit the school they helped to build and meet the pupils and teachers in Uganda they continue to support.
Rachel Colbourn, Head of Highfield said,
“I believe that it’s really important for children to understand the wider world in which they lie. The trip will provide the children with a unique insight into life in another culture and I think it has the potential to be a life changing experience for those involved.”

During the 10 day trip, pupils will experience life in a Ugandan school, spend time with their sponsored families and learn skills from local people. They’ll also visit a rhino sanctuary and trek to the Murchisan Falls on the river Nile.
