Choosing the right school for your child is an important and sometimes difficult choice to make. If your thoughts are turning towards your child making the move to ‘big school’, why not join us for our Highfield Prep School 2025 Reception Information Morning on Saturday, 16 November.   

Who Should Attend?

The information morning is specifically designed for parents and children who are due to start school in September 2025. 

The event will begin at 9.30am and we anticipate the morning will end around 11.30am.

What to Expect?

During the course of the morning you’ll hear a wide range of information about our school and all aspects of life at Highfield. Here’s an idea of what to expect from the morning:

For Parents:

  • Spend time with your child in our stimulating Reception Classrooms and dedicated Reception outdoor areas
  • Meet our highly experienced and inspiring Reception Class teachers and the Reception Teaching Assistant team
  • Meet our team of specialist curriculum teachers who support the Reception team including our specialist Sports, Drama, Music and French teachers
  • Discover detailed information about life in our Reception classes including the Reception curriculum; the extra-curricular programme for Reception children; and the incredible things that happen in Reception across the year to make your child’s first experience of school truly magical!
  • Find out what lies beyond Reception for Highfield children including how the curriculum develops to continue to develop a passion for learning; and all of the incredible things that happen outside of the classroom to instil a love of life! 
  • Find out practical information about how to apply to Highfield and the in depth programme we have in place to help children and their parents prepare for the first day at ‘big school’!

 

For Children:

  • An opportunity to spend time in our stimulating Reception classrooms and dedicated Reception outdoor area
  • Spend time with our inspiring Reception class teachers and dedicated Reception teaching assistant team
  • Hopefully make some new little friends along the way!
