Alumni Representatives
Alumni Representatives are a network of enthusiastic volunteers from across the UK and internationally who provide support and camaraderie for alumni through organising local events, and being a point of contact to those new to the area or visiting and looking for recommendations, local knowledge or just a friendly welcome! Become an Alumni Representative
If you don’t see your area listed above, whether in the UK or internationally, why not consider volunteering as a Representative yourself? We are expanding our network of Alumni Representatives (formerly Branch Secretaries). Do you want to develop your social and professional network? Give something back and stay connected to the School?
We encourage you to host one alumni event each year (or more regularly if you wish!) such as informal drinks or a lunch, a visit to a local historic site or arts event, or a networking event. You’ll have lots of support from the Alumni Relations Officer, who will send invitations to local alumni, manage online bookings and help with planning – so you just need to be self-motivated, sociable and passionate to drive engagement with your local alumni. You would also be a local point of contact for alumni who may contact you for some friendly guidance.
Alumni events are friendly and enjoyable; you’ll socialise with old friends and make new local friends, and you will expand your career opportunities and professional network. You will develop skills in event planning and self-motivation. You will make a difference to individuals who engage with you, grow the alumni network and give back to the College. The time commitment is flexible and depends on what you would like to offer, and there is some funding available for events.
