Chapel
As a Christian Foundation, collective worship is a really important and special feature of life at College. Girls and staff come together for regular weekday and Sunday services in our Chapel. The services are led by our Chaplains and accompanied by our amazing Chapel Choir.
We are linked to the Martyrs’ Memorial Trust and our Christian foundation is something we are immensely proud of. It underpins our whole school ethos and gives us a commitment to core values which do not change over time. We focus on inclusion, mutual respect and understanding of people of all faiths and of no faith.
For students and staff alike, Chapel services represent a time of support; of sharing; of celebration; and reflection. We focus on inclusion and mutual respect and understanding of all faiths.
Our Chaplains are an integral part of our school community. They provide support and guidance to students, and enable them to explore and develop their faith.
Throughout the year we come together to celebrate major Christian festivals such as Christmas, Easter, Remembrance and Harvest within Chapel. These are wonderful, memorable and unique experiences which our girls love and carry with them throughout their lives – in fact, when we hold reunion events for former pupils, they insist we include a Chapel service!
As well as coming together for services within our own Chapel, we also have close links with St Wilfrid’s Church located next door to College and we celebrate our annual Carol Service and Commemoration Service within this beautiful church.
