A level and GCSE Exam Results at Harrogate Ladies' College
Harrogate Ladies’ College is a largely non-selective school, although our excellent public examination results might suggest otherwise. Studying at Harrogate Ladies’ College typically adds one grade to estimated exam results in every subject – a factor which is considered by many to be the best indication of a school’s success.
A level Results
We are always incredibly proud of the achievements of our Sixth Form students and in 2024 they once again celebrated impressive A level results.
Our U6 pupils secured over 50% A*-B grades with 75% of grades being A*-C.
Over 50 per cent of all grades in English Literature were A* while there was a clean sweep of 100% A*-B grades in Spanish, PE and Creative Arts. Five subjects including Psychology and Maths achieved over 60% A*-B grades.
Overall, the grades achieved were broadly in line with 2019 results.

GCSE Results
Outstanding grades across a wide range of subjects highlight the extent of the success for Harrogate Ladies’ College pupils in the 2024 GCSE results.
88% of all Physics grades were top 9-7 grades, 85% of pupils studying foreign languages obtained a 9-7 grade, while there were strong results across science and creative arts, with 72% of pupils achieving 9-7 grades in Biology, Chemistry and Textiles.
