Narnia Day Delights Pupils at Highfield Prep School
It was a day of awe and wonder at Highfield Prep School recently when the entire school was transformed into the magical land of Narnia.
Taking inspiration from The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, pupils were amazed when they walked through a ‘wardrobe’ of cloaks at the entrance to school which led to the magical land of Narnia. The winter wonderland theme continued throughout the school with the White Witch’s sleigh and a lamppost and snow topped trees in the ‘woods’.
Head of Highfield Prep School, James Savile said,
“It was wonderful to see the look of surprise on everyone’s face as they entered Narnia! Bringing the magic of C. S. Lewis’ classic novel alive showed the children just how wonderful reading can be and that their imaginations can also take them to fantastic places.
“Creating such memorable moments in our pupils’ lives is a privilege and memories such as these will stay with children forever. Special thanks must also go to all of our exceptional teaching staff who put so much effort into the organisation and for their amazing costumes!”

Activities continued throughout the week with The Chronicles of Narnia as the theme and dovetailed into World Book Day, which is always a day filled with much enthusiasm with pupils dressing up as their favourite characters.
